Training Teams are working alongside Debbie and her team to embed numeracy and literacy skills into their workplace courses.

Norfolk Adult Education offer FREE English and Maths skills classes which are held during the day and evening across the county to 16yrs+ adults. Their classes are small, relaxed and friendly and individuals can work at their own level and pace.

If you lack confidence with your spelling, grammar or punctuation when writing then help is at hand. Employees English and Maths skills can get a little rusty over time and we give them the opportunity to have their current skills assessed and take a FREE English or Maths Test.

These tests  and short courses are FREE to take and courses are run throughout Norfolk.

Broadland, Flagship and Saffron Housing Associations – a Self-Development Learning Programme for Tenants

 Training Teams is working alongside Annette and the Housing Associations to develop and deliver workshops as part of a self-development learning programme for tenants who are closely involved with their communities and Housing Association management teams by sitting on, for example, Customer Advisory Panels, Tenant Panels and Residents’ Associations.  Training Teams will deliver workshops on event planning, influence and persuasion and mediation skills.  The Programme covers a wide variety of other topics including presentation skills, IT, running community groups and dressing to impress.

APPROPRIATE ADULT (NORFOLK) [Charity/NGO]
Appropriate Adults are a requirement of The Police and Criminal Evidence Act (PACE) 1984. They attend Police Custody Suites to support and advise vulnerable adults and juveniles (under 17 years of age) detained in custody. Their role is to ensure that detainees are aware of their rights and entitlements whilst in custody, that they are treated in accordance with PACE codes of practice, and to assist with communication. Appropriate Adults are present throughout Police interviews and any associated procedures (i.e. photographs, fingerprints). The role requires an ability to be empathic, non-judgemental and assertive as required.
